Rose Marujo, R.N.

Research Nurse

My first job out of nursing school was here at MGH as an inpatient nurse on a surgical floor.  Over my first few years as a nurse, my interest in research grew as I worked with one of our Urologists on retrospective studies for prostate cancer.

This led me to a position as an outpatient oncology nurse and into oncology research for prostate cancer. Wanting to explore other areas of research, I joined Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as the Phase 1 Clinical Trials Research Nurse for four years, then transitioned to clinical trials with biologic therapies for the treatment of melanoma and kidney cancers where I had been for over 12 years.  With the growing areas in research and the desire to explore areas outside of oncology, I returned to MGH in 2020 and was honored to join the NICC team.
